Creating Dr.Love☺️ and late post about ami Kenshin

Hello there☺️ been out of blogging for ages.

Hoping you're all safe and healthy. Being in this pandemic thing isn't easy, we all hope that this thing ends soon. Anyways I'm back blogging about my passion for crochet.

So here I am again blogging about Ami's, I know am not that expert in amigurumis but I want to share my journey making Ami's, my latest project is a Dr. Doll let's just call him Dr. Love also sharing about ami Kenshin and  the current WIP doll I am making which is giving me some headache as it's hard for me to try to crochet and jot down patterns simultaneously ha ha. I really  admire those crocheters that makes patterns specially amigurumis.

Dr. Love

Here's the picture of him while am making it with me on the picture of course😅

Dr.Love is about 12 inches.

I followed a YT tutorial making this doll, just altered some in the process  specially in the eyes as I had hard time on embroidering his eyes I could not follow what the tutorial is saying/doing  as it is in Spanish & my Spanish is rusty😅

The doll starts on making his hands first then the legs going up to the neck,
you have to change color for the boxer part & after joining the arms into the body, you also have to make his uniform,

stethoscope, face mask, face shield and shoes too😁 It is not that easy making small accessories for the doll plus adding hair & giving him haircut is also a challenge but am grateful that there are generous people who upload such intricate designs and they're for free! I am not sure if I can share her YT link here, but it's called "Muñeco Infermo" by Petus Ochoa with the #graciaspersonalmedico & yes I did include that # also when I post in on IG & FB. Thanks to her I finished my Dr. Love ami.

My Kenshin Himura

I have made Kenshin a couple of years ago, not sure if I have already uploaded pictures here but the history behind it was my son who  was so fond of watching that cartoons before "Samurai X" & Kenshin was the main Character.

Like other ami you have to start from bottom going up to the neck.

Join them together, on Kenshin I also added wire inside to make him do whatever post I put him to 😝

Adding hair is also a challenge specially to  smaller Ami's

I tried to copy his hair with highlights😅
But couldn't copy his face the way it should be, ha ha his face ended like  exhausted & dehydrated, looks like he just came from battle 😂
When making Kenshin doll it was also hard, His kimono & his hakama is also a challenge to make and most of my Ami's I use thread mercerized cotton &  1 5-1.75 mm hook.
Kenshin Ami is about 9 inches.

So that's it for today, will post about the current ami pattern I am making soon. Stay safe everyone!
Keep smiling & God bless.

And of course! I also teach ha ha
I am so happy to see that many are still interested on learning this craft I love and I have proven that it is not just for Granny as I always hear "Crochet? Oh! That was my Grandma's hobby, it's for old people!" No no no, it's for everyone and I've seen it I also have little boys as young as 4 who wants to learn, my youngest student he says he wants to learn so he could make mittens so that his hands won't get cold :) he's so cute.
Some are men who also wants to learn.
Here are some of my pictures with my students, unfortunately I forgot to take pictures with little boys that I have reached.

Sure preparing this kind of event is exhausting but the happiness & fulfillment that you feel when you see people appreciated your work and see the happiness and excitement on the face of your student is PRICE LESS!

Here are also some of my latest projects

Thank you all for reading
Have a wonderful week and God bless

I promised a free crochet pattern for my Red Summer Top

Hello dear crocheters, it's been a while again and I know I did promise a free pattern. But before we go to that let me just share my projects for the last weeks/months been busy making some top & bikinis and here they are, I have no patterns for them most are just made out of a picture sent by clients kudos to the real owner of those beautiful creations and I hope my creations gave justice to them.

These two tops I guess I already post on my previews post but this were with some alterations,
the back is different, made some adjustments to fit the customers size, I added a lace. The pink one is my own design, kinda put some patterns together, the green has a pattern, just added the  crisscross lace thing.
And yes that's me pausing with my finish project, just feeling proud ha ha ha
I hope you all won't mind my thick face :D

These doesn't have patterns, I just tried to copy the picture that the client sent to me but
I always try not to copy every details, made some adjustments & added few stitches

This one is my own design

This is inspired by a watermelon
I didn't like the black straight line  ( stitch for theseed) that is on the original picture
so I tried to find a nice beads that look like a watermelon seed:)

This one had a same or similar free pattern from drops design,
but I didn't used it I just whip this by just looking at the picture.
Sorry I forgot the name of the pattern in drops design

this one also has no pattern, maybe there is but am just too  lazy to search ha ha
So what I did is copy base from the picture and made the lace longer to create that X thing
in front which is by the way requested by my client :)

I am sure this one has a pattern or even a video tutorial on YouTube

this one has no pattern, again just based from the picture, but I added an elastic or garter and
I also didn't like the cup on the pic so I decided to change it..

This one is from http://www.crochetology.net/
sorry I forgot the name of  the project but she has beautiful crochet projects and also have helpful tips in
crocheting I love her works
And this one I did promised a free crochet pattern, by the way this pattern was inspired from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRj5qaxOQks
So here it is, and guess what it is even  better because my friend
re-write it and made a picture tutorial with it.
So I am inviting you to visit her site, she has beautiful projects helpful tips for those who are
just beginning to learn how to crochet and guess what?
All patterns are free :)
